Brazil goalkeeper Alisson Becker has revealed he could return to Internacional, the club he started his career at, when his contract with Liverpool expires.

    The 32-year-old goalkeeper has been with Internacional since the age of 10 in 2002, making his senior debut in 2013 and joining Roma three years later, before moving to Anfield in 2018 for £66.8m, making him the most expensive goalkeeper in world football.

    He is currently contracted to the club until 2026, with the option to extend for a further 12 months, which could see him stay with the club until then. Alisson has revealed that he could return to Internacional before retiring.

    “I’ve spoken to players who have decided to return to their old clubs. Some had good experiences, some didn’t,” Alisson replied when asked about returning to his old club.

    “Everyone has their own experience, but I would like to go back, especially at Inter, I don’t know when that will happen, but I would like to do it at the highest level, that’s what I plan to do.”
